Soil Management and Crop Rotation
our care for the soil
Care of Soil
The fertility of the soil is a very important subject in the field of (organic) farming. We therefore pay considerable attention to soil management. Furthermore, the interplay between nature and crop cultivation is a central objective. We avoid the use of artificial fertilizers and chemical pesticides.
Our company reinforces the soil and soil life through 1 in 6 crop rotation.
Crop rotation results in a more diverse soil life in which friends and foes of a crop are equally present.
We implemented alfalfa in our crop rotation plan, because this crop provides rest and nutrition. By preventing soil compaction, the crop benefits from a better rooting and an optimal absorption of minerals.
In crop rotation the heavier and lighter crops alternate to prevent overuse of the soil. Where possible we use green manure after crop grow.
